Attempt each question before expanding its answer. These examples were written for this page; they are not extracts from a downloadable booklet or an official assessment paper.
1. Kindness in action
Question: A new pupil is sitting alone during break. Give one kind action and explain why it helps.
Show answer and explanation
Invite the pupil to join a suitable activity and introduce them to classmates. This makes the invitation practical and helps the pupil feel included. Naming kindness alone does not explain the action.
2. Telling the truth
Question: A learner breaks a classroom ruler by accident. Suggest a truthful response.
Show answer and explanation
Tell the teacher what happened instead of blaming another pupil. Explain that taking responsibility protects trust. The learner can also help agree on a sensible way to repair or replace the ruler.
3. Care for creation
Question: Give two ways a class can care for a school garden.
Show answer and explanation
Water plants appropriately and keep litter away from the garden. Explain how each action supports living things. Caring for a shared space involves regular helpful action, rather than merely saying that nature matters.
How to review your CRE answers
- Read the instruction. Identify whether you need to name, explain, compare, calculate or give an example. Answer the task that was actually set.
- Make your reasoning visible. Show working for a calculation or give the detail that supports a written answer. A correct result without understanding is difficult to apply to a new question.
- Correct one difficulty. Record the error and explain the change needed. Try a similar example later without copying the worked answer.
Teachers and parents can use a short set to start a discussion, identify a misunderstanding and select a follow-up task. These activities provide focused practice; they do not certify coverage of every curriculum outcome or replace classroom teaching.
