Using KCSE 2008–2014 mocks
Choose the original paper or set label before opening a file. When an answer file is available, compare its source and paper number with your question paper. Keep shared marking packs separate from subject-specific answers.
Navigating the combined 2008–2014 archive
This directory retains a combined year-range label. A linked archive may bring together material from more than one year, so do not rename a combined file as a single-year paper without checking its contents. Open the original collection and use its internal year, subject and paper headings to find the section you need. Record the year printed on an individual paper when it is clear; otherwise retain the archive range in your notes. Check page boundaries before printing an extract so that the instructions and all pages of a question remain together. If an answer section is included in the same file, locate the relevant paper label before using it to review your work. Keep a record of the source collection so you can return to the same version. Use older material for revision alongside the guidance your teacher gives for your current course and assessment arrangements.
Check KNEC assessment guidance for official national assessment information; county and school mocks remain practice collections.
